Here’s the full length theLadders.com commercial that aired around Superbowl season. I animated the chairs in the foreground and midground in almost every shot using Maya and some of Method’s procedural noise scripts.
Casey Steffen handled the overhead shot showing the whole herd, as well as most of the background chairs using an ICE flocking system.
I also animated the flock of birds in the second shot. We thought about using ICE for the birds, but we just didn’t have time, so we did it the hard way.
